Last night was the 90th Academy Awards ceremony and we saw so many uplifting, optimistic, and empowering speeches from the winners. The Oscars’ red carpet also reflected this mood, with bold fashion choices and an array of bright colors. Here are a few of our favorite looks from last night’s awards show!

EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT! Onward and uptown! Michael's is on the move. We are leaving our wonderful home of 64 years and moving north to a fabulous ground floor location, 4 blocks up on Madison. 1041 Madison provided an excellent environment during our formative years and a wonderful place to grow up and mature. Now that we have become a destination business with clients and consignors from around the world, it is time to take our place at street level on Madison Avenue so we can better serve our clientele.

 

 

Another season has come and gone, and although we are looking ahead to spring we can’t help but crush on the newest looks from this past week’s Fall/Winter 2018 New York Fashion Week.The runways this year were full of show stopping looks, and very bold trends. Today we’ll be sharing three of our favorite trends from the upcoming season and how you can wear them yourself with the help of Michael’s.

Tammy and I recently had the extreme pleasure of attending the Christian Dior exhibition at the Musée des Art Décoratifs in Paris. The exhibit celebrated 70 years of The House of Dior. The exhibition runs from July 5, 2017 through January 7, 2018. Clearly Mr. Dior was the star but the supporting cast of Yves Saint Laurent, Grazia Chiuri, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferre, John Galliano and Raf Simons could not be ignored.

Fall is officially here and we are glad to report that this season we finally have some new things to check out. These trends are such a turn on… so get ready because we are excited to show you 5 sweater trends that are conquering the runway (and hopefully your closet) this autumn. The sweater is the foundation of the fall wardrobe. Even with our mild winter last year and the crazy one that is supposed to come our way, it will always be our companion when times get tough and the weather temps start dropping.
